Volunteer or donate services

Thank you for your interest in being involved with MAGE. If you are looking for a unique volunteering opportunity for a great cause, or know someone who is, please consider the following ideas:

  • Academic team (Debate, Odyssey of the Mind, math team, chess, etc) coach.

  • PR with 501.c.3 experience for one campaign or a longer engagement.

  • Retired or part-time teachers or learning specialists with gifted experience interested in volunteering to teach a class that is of interest to them for as little as 45 minutes a week. Minimum commitment is 8 classes.*

  • Masters in their field or hobbyists, active or retired, to teach as little as a single workshop, or make it a prolonged engagement. The topics could be anything that may be of interest to an inquisitive child, such as mechanical engineering, marine biology, any sort of manufacturing or repair, any sort of handcraft, financials, programming, archery, weaving, falconry, cartography.  We are trying to build a bank of individuals that could mentor a student or a group of students on a specific topic that interests them. This is not to provide the main instruction but to support a specific interest if there is a match between that and the available expertise.*

*Background check will be required for all volunteers working with children.
