PSAT/SAT College Board Testing
This can be difficult to find for younger students.
We will host the official College Board SAT on Friday April 3, PSAT 8/9 and 10 on Friday, April 10th, 9:15AM-12PM (or longer if you have accommodations). Doors open at 8:15 AM and close at 8:30AM so you must get there 45 minutes early. Bring a book, snacks, besides what the College Board tells you to bring. Snacks will be staged outside of the testing area. Please make sure your student knows that they have to stay in the test area until the testing is complete. It will take us about 45 minutes to set If you need accommodations, you have to work with us by January 15th to get the required paperwork in if you have those, and we can't handle certain accommodations without charging you an extra proctoring fee if you need double time, for example. Parents must stay on site for students under 14. Students need to be able to take the contest independently and without disruption to others. Your cost is $100 and we will forward you the payment link after you register and we confirm we have space for you. Cost might be more if you have accommodations and we need to proctor you for more hours than our internal students.
PSAT/SAT Notes:
PSAT access is difficult for the under HS age students. The hardest part of this is to get a college board account. We provide consulting at $150/hr for help with that. It's unpleasant. We can bypass this painful procedure for our own full time enrolled students. You can use the result to submit to Davidson Young Scholars and elite summer camps as well as a cheaper way to get into a number of gifted schools including ours. https://www.davidsongifted.org/gifted-programs/young-scholars/admissions/eligibility-and-testing/ are the cut offs.
